I did the distance test with several Baofengs vs the Zastone A19, got almost double the range of the Baofeng.

Same goes the Zastone 889g getting way more range, but i will have to add this that 30% of the Zastone A19's i tried seemed not to work very good at all. I eventually went with the Quansheng radio's they are the nicest imo. I did a lot of testing of radios, if i had to guess it would be 40 different models.

I'll have to do a range test with the gt-3tp and the A-19 to see for myself. I got this antenna to go with the A-19 since it has a max watt of 20 watts unlike the Nagoya Na-771 which is rated for 10 watts.

I had one of my zastone A19 with the magnetic roof top antenna (negoya ut-106) out perform my kenwood truck radio. A trapper needed it for safety so i sold it to him. I have sold around 20 of these radios.

Yes but they have to be programmed. RGM programs in some of these.

Buddy was talking that the baofeng radios can’t go to private channels with bca? That wouldn’t be helpful with some of the busier areas.
you can program in privacy tones but it's a waste of channels just use a full channel like 5-0 instead of 5-1. Better yet get everyone on the VHF radio train and use a VHF channel to enjoy some actual range instead of FRS.

Just wondering if i could some feed back on the Boafeng radios which model would be best/better also looking on Boafeng website they state if you get a radio in a brown box it may not be an original Boafeng radio any truth to this also if you get them programmed what is programmed on them and lastly what would be the cost of a radio [model] programmed better antenna and mic Thanks for any info

Popular radios such as Baofeng UV-82HP and I hear the Baofeng GT-5TP is a good choice. The program you will want to use is called CHIRP and it is free to download off the net.
I have had good luck with the small baofeng mics and they are cheap. A good high gain antenna is a Nagoya NA-771. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N7511MV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_FcGoCb1AWXMV0 Much better than the antenna that comes with most radios. Make sure you order a programming cable as well.
When you order one let me know and I can help.

That little gadget of yours sure would have saved me hours of driving testing a box load of radios, but then again you really cannot test how good the radio receives a signal. Those chinamen do, do a lot of strange things with those brown boxes never know what you are going to get especially if you get a super sale. The gt-5tp did test out to have the best range in the Baofengs. An amazing mic is the wouxun SMO-003. Good luck getting one though. I might want to add the Baofeng 10 watts do not perform well at all.

It's pretty cool. It also comes with a little antenna so that it can tell you the transmitting frequency of radios.

I do not have a lot of baofengs left, but when I get this thing I will post the results for quansheng, Zastone 889g, and the Baojie.

Well since Baofeng doesn't make a 10 watt what you tested was probably fake or a relabeled 5 watt

Is the Zastone programmed through Chirp? Or is there a specific A-19 CHIRP version?

I have a 10watt TYT that I cannot program with Chirp and its annoying as its a nice radio.

I tested the 10watt TYT the Baofeng gt-5tp beat it. Zastone makes a very nice programming software it works really good. However i have used wouxun kg-UV8D in chirp to program the Zastone A19
