Im looking to get a Polaris sled what dealer everyone recommend around Revy
To buy or for service???
Backus be OK to buy, but service well ummmmm , not so sure on anymore
Alot of not great stuff I have heard over the last few years
Bdm in Vernon, heard very good stuff and looking after a guy
Not bashing, but last time my sled was at Backus, the clutch was on so tight, I bent the good puller trying to remove it. Had over 250FtLbs trying to get her to pop. SHe pops for me with never a fuss, except when it comes back from them. I put on to 75FtLbs personally. I'm sure they just hit it with an impact. Which is a nono. Also had a bit of a run around for warranty, because I didn't take it to them for "service and inspection" No, I upkeep my sleds to a much higher level of tolerance than factory. But because they had to "take my word" for it that visual inspections were done at 500 and 1000Km.... Cost me extra couple hundred so they could "service the sled" to warranty my worn engine mounts
There not working in the shopI dunno about the impact on the crank. Those boys have won the Baja 1000 I think they know how to wrench properly haha

And I was there to watch lolAll I'm saying is my clutch was on so tight that over 250FtLbs on the puller would not pop it, in fact it bent the puller. Water trick had to be used. When I torque my clutches to spec, they pop off nice with the puller like they are supposed to. And the clutch was pulled off the next day after coming back from the dealer. Not even ridden....... Never in my 40 years of sledding and working on sleds have I seen a clutch that has been supposedly put on by a professional, that effing tight...
