Klim & FXR merino baselayers suck avoid them.

I’ve got some hunting brands (Kuiu, First Lite) and they are awesome. Hiking brands like Minus33, Icebreaker are also high quality.

Costco is best bang for buck.

A lot of guides and serious mountain folk use minimal sled branded gear… there are much better products out there and sometimes better prices to be had without a Klim,509,Tobe tag on them… arc’teryx is pretty popular outer gear I see more and more these days.

I have some icebreaker stuff I use daily and some smartwool stuff too

Silk dress socks under your insulating wool sock will change your tune alone lol it did for me
Arc’teryx is overpriced garbage. You see lots of it being worn around the city …. base layers are ok. But outer layers can’t stand up to sledding.

I have lots of it as my Brother in law worked for them for many years. I feel ripped off and I got it all for free or at 80% discount.

separated zippers, separated seams, cuts from knee braces etc…
