Best mod for under $1000?

Best money spent on a single improvement this year for me would be the addition of an EXIT shock in the rear of the skid. Made the suspension do what it should when it should. Paid $650 for the big inch and three quarter shock. Makes one wonder why you would trade a couple pounds for a Fox FLOAT over having a working suspension.

Three of us bought them and we are going to compare this wekend, I will leave my M100 stock and we have a M8 with them all the way around and an M1000 with just the rear done, it will be awesome to jump from one to the other in all kinds of circumstances.

With stock valving - the A/C skid sucks. For $360, you can have the ride and transfer of a $2500 (or more) rear skid. Revalve the rear skid with the Chris Burandt / Fox Backcountry upgrade. Rides better then a Holz (IMHO), transfers weight effectively, and no more set or sag from the rear skid. Mine were done by Nexxtech (Thanks again, Tyler), and the difference is night and day.

Did the front shocks last spring, liked the improvement. When giving them rider specs for rear,was told about the new 1 3/4 rear shock. Ordered it and installed. Couldn't believe the improvement. Recently added the front skid shock. Noticed some improvement but not as dramatic as the addition of rear shock. Have owned $2500 aftermarket skids and this makes your stock cat skid work just as well.

Who does this around AB? Or do you simply send shocks away?...What do ya think it would cost to get two fronts and the rear revalved with this upgrade?
