That is the one, wife talked some sense into me and I think I'm going to wait till next spring, or at least until October , will free up some cash in October , and prefer too buy it outright rather than have a payment, I've been bike less for 2 yrs, 8 months won't kill me , New isn't in my budget but I am looking for my dream bike so patience is a virtue. There will be a pic of it on here by next March I assure you . Thanks for all the input, will bump this thead in due time ! And the bug killing will begin.

Funny but pretty much my story too, waited and paid for in full, was bike less for 3 years. Are you going ultra or road glide? I have the tour detach which is great when mama doesn't want to ride then when shes ready for a scoot, I put the tour pack on, change the seat and go.

As said will be waiting to see what you get

How many bikes you had Ric, I'm somewhere around 14, this would be my 3rd Harley, Pretty sure I know what I like, if you like some parts for yours I still got some off my Vulcan Classic. I think I know what I'm missing.

Will most likely be an Ultra, 2013 ish, keep looking at the Roadglide but it's Roadglide it would have too be the 2016 CVO limited but way out of my budget 50000 on the floor at Edmonton Harley and as I said before they were great when I was in there, I'm no expert and that guy was super helpful

Yeah , cause what guys have always wanted is a wanna be , look-a-like cheap knock-off and ugly alternative to an actual motorcycle. Probably not a bad ride for cheap, as long as a couple hour ride is your normal trip. And good luck with your resale, ouch !!!!

They do say though that imitation is a form of flattery, and the vaquero is certainly a imitator. Kawasaki did do a good job on it, looks groovy. I had a Vulcan years ago and a few other metric cruisers, and they're good bikes for a few day ride in nice weather, but if you're gonna take off for a few weeks or a longer trip , it becomes very evident why you're gonna see so many Harley's and Goldwings. And if you get talking to a lot of these high milers, you're gonna discover an awful lot of them started out on a metric cruiser usually cause of price, and that's great, gets folks out riding. But then they gotta get goofy and start telling the world they do the same thing, nope, just ain't true. Comfort , convenience, storage, protection, adjustability, available customization in choice of seats, handlebars and windshields is such a huge factor if you're gonna do big miles. The Harley's and Goldwings especially have had a lot of time specializing in those types of bikes, and they got it figured out, the rest are playing catchup trying to grab a little market by imitating. The one metric cruiser that has impressed me on a few trips is the big Yammi full load Road Star, it's a comfy bike. If ya really got a bug up yer a$$ about Harley, Victory has got a couple really nice baggers now also, getting better each year, guess we don't know yet if they're gonna be as trouble free as the Harley's are after you get a bunch of miles on them, but we'll see. Bikes , boats, trucks , guns and women, all these things are available in different models and options, depends on your intended usage. ��

Just wondering what all does your bike have for features? I was on their web site and it really didn't give much insight to features.

In the end, using a few different tallying methods, we ended up deadlocked for the win with the Vision and the Road Glide, but gave it to the Harley (by a nose), mostly because the Vision, while costing far less, simply doesn’t allow you to upgrade to the same level as the Road Glide. The Kawasaki Vaquero is a true contender in the class, offering a very good value at even less money than the stripped 8-Ball. In most ways however, it doesn’t feel as finished as the other two. The way the motor interacts with the transmission and the top heaviness disappoints while nothing much stands out in a positive way. That said, we all agreed it’s a very good-looking bike, and nobody had anything really negative to say about it.

That's why i bought a 2011 vaquero with 2000kms on it .... And it was way cheaper than anything out there

I love them all, my Vulcan was great, looked Good sounded good, never a problem, ran pretty hot though, not great in the city but don't care about city riding
