I've had interstate batteries. Been great. They're 12's though

I have an interstate battery in my mini skid steer, it dies and freezes every winter for 4 years now. I charge it up and it works all summer. Never had a problem with it.

Who makes the best RV battery??? LOL
There are only a few battery manufactures in N.America and basically all your batteries come from them. The batteries are sold to all the different name brands you will see out there and they stick their decals on them.
Basically the real answer to that question is, they are all good. The biggest problem to RV and deep cycle batteries is generally not battery related but owner related. Not knowing how to care for and how to charge an RV deep cycle battery causes the majority of battery failure no matter what sticker it has.

Agm is absorbed glass mat. It is still a lead acid battery just spill proof and maintenance free.
Gell cell battery's are supposed to last longer and are the only battery's allowed in public transit or aircraft with wheel chairs and scooters. Wow are they pricey.

This is so true. ^^^^^
If you have an onboard power converter it charges your batteries when connected to shore power. If it is not a good quality 4 stage converter/charger your batteries won't last as long either. The same goes for an onboard inverter/charger.

I don't know why anyone would even contemplate buying 2 - 12v batteries for an RV. unless you're selling it...

2 - 6v got mine from Rockies Battery in Edmonton. Very happy with them. Never run out of power.

Got mine there also. Pretty sure they come with a 5 year warranty, and after that they give a hefty refund on their old ones when swapping for new

Amazed that nobody else has been flagging the Trojan flag. Have 2 6V Trojans that will never die. Had them in the trailer for 5 years now and they still have more aH in them then one of my buddies brand new costco units. There is a reason that everyone compares to Trojan.

I got two Kirkland batteries for cheap and just carry my cheap generator to charge them every few days. I probably have the same amount in those things as some guys have in only their RV batteries!

Your batteries won't last.
Like i said in my previous post. 99% of all issues with deep cycle batteries is the owner and not knowing how to take care of them....charging. Nothing wrong with Kirkland, its your charging method.
You can take the cheapest to buy battery and make them out last the most expensive battery, if you know how to charge them properly.
Like i said, most batteries are made in the same factory.

After batteries spend the money on a good converter and make sure it has big enough gauge wire to handle the amps your new smart charger will throw at 'em. Good ones have a storage mode to keep them from getting sulphated when not in use.

CONverter. Not INverter. A good converter has a proper 3 stage charger built in. MOST converters can be upgraded to 3 stage chargers by adding a "Charge Wizard". Charge Wizard RV Battery Charging

Also the 6v / 12v thing is a push. Has nothing to do with 6v being better. The 6v golf cart batts have almost the same footprint as a G24 12v battery and therefore fit where two G24 fit. The golf cart battery is way taller. It's a bigger battery, hence the better amp hours. Boils down to the weight of the battery...heavier=bigger=more amp hrs.
