I just heard the person from Elkford that has the virus is not doing good at all. The person that is sick I hear was a employee at the local drug store
Only a matter of time before it starts to seriously effect the mines and their contractors. Teck has Cummins down to only resident mechanics on site now, so one guy per shift. Hard to say how long they can go on paying the rest of the guys to stay home and do "training" before they have to start layoffs. I heard Teck themselves has already done some layoffs.
i will be staying away from you then!!!From all the reading I've been doing this is all I can figure differentiates this from a seasonal flu.... and the potential severity, but a seasonal flu can be pretty brutal and also fatal.
You can have this Covid bug and show zero symptoms nothing...nada...zip (not only for days prior but show no symptoms PERIOD) I could have it as could anyone in my office, or the grocery store or Burger King (BTW it's Whopper Wednesday) and never know it without being tested hence the need to sanitize and avoid close contact with others.

there is not a **cken chance that Teck is going to keep paying their guys to stay home is right and any employee that thinks that is brain dead. They have bunted employee's before and this will happen very soon. They had stock piles before the virus hit and and planned shut downs also. Finning had 8 guys per shift at Line Creek now down to one guy per shift. Keep in mind contractors are first to go.
