Contact summitric - he set me up with batteries for my Dirtymax a couple of years ago - Fair Price, Great Service and they work Awesome.
Well, I still haven't bought any yet. But I do appreciate all the input. It seems like the general conscense's is either; Exide, or Optima.

When I was working for G.M. and the Ford as a tech we used the OEM batteries.
Never had many problems.

A lot of times it is not poor batteries but poor maintenance on vehicles.
Cables, connections, extra draws. Lights left on etc.

As stated earlier only a few companies make most of the batteries.
As long as it has a warranty a good quality battery from anyone would be fine.

optima's are awesome batteries I've used them for extended winching, cold starts, supplying music around the campfire all night etc. never had a problem and a couple are around 8 years old now. I have a couple friends that stepped up to the odyssey batteries and they swear by them now they are very nice also

Wondering how long Motorcraft batteries are lasting in those with Ford 6.4l trucks? Replaced mine the other day and was a little surprised at how short of a life they had based on the date of manufacture sticker.
