a little birdie told me 'doo has been trying to work a deal with the tuning fork people to use their rear exit exhaust idea for the 4 stroke mtn sleds.....yammie not budging and 'doo wants a competent mountain 4 banger out of the box. the wait will continue

i have no idea what cat has that brp would want. for real. anyone? and dont say motor. we dont need a sluggish slow reacting engine that vibrates itself to death.
Go turbo your doo. Come back to me after this season and see if you can manage to fit the count on two hands of how many times you've had to do an engine rebuild... Or you finally gave up and kicked the bucket on the doo and went to a platform that doesn't croak when you add a little power to it. Sure the engine vibrates, and I'm pretty sure there's an aftermarket motor mount made for that issue, and as for that engine being "sluggish and slow"... Come on... Have you even ridden the latest 800 h.o's? You know what, I can't disagree with you there... Those g0d d@mn€d diamond drives were such a pain in the ass... Yet I've never seen one fail... Early years yeah, later years, only when ya turbo the sleds up have I ever seen one fail then. Teeroy, I haven't seen or heard of one catchin on fire?? Maybe some redneck thought itd be a good idea to warm up his flannel jacket on the pipes? I haven't heard that bein an issue... Engines grenadine? Sure. Suck a rivet thru any engine and see what happens. I couldn't care for the 4 strokes. I hate the cat 4's. Stupid drop steering... OH ch!t, looks like another thing cat copied off doo... Uh oh. Max, ya might get your diamond drive after all bahahahahahaha

ya WHAT lol.

anyways i dont plan to turbo any sled anytime soon. still pushing the limits of sleds in stock form. not sure how you guys with 300hp are advancing so fast. wish i could do that.
I've seen very few turbo owners ride their sleds to it's full potential. I think for most it's to make up for lack of skillz....that said, them fawkin things rip...

I haven't turboed any of my cats yet either. Im just saying, there are guys that are all about the turbo two strokes, and even I want to try it on my proclimb eventually, so, which sled you think anyone in their right mind would chose to turbo? I think the doo engines are riding b!tch on the short bus in that category...

Actually.................there was innovation from BRP on the direct injection system from Ficht for the ETEC platform. Ficht 's technology was for a marine application and much lower rpm's. Rotax engineers in collaboration with the OMC engineering group worked hard to adapt this technology to the sled application (higher rpm's). There was a need for a new style of injector that could perform at a higher speed that was needed to work for the Rotax engine. Just sayin'.....

We're just splitting hairs here. Great technology, but nothing innovative on Rotax's part, IMHO. They just adapted existing technology. Being innovative goes to the people that first created the system. Just sayin'...

Ha ha !! Good one. BUT, it's only "innovative" if you like how far forward Doo pushed you. I don't, so to me they f'ed up.
