I found the etec used as much oil as my polaris. from the 3/4 mark on the tank to below 1/4 in one ride.
frankly both sip oil and if the g4 is better that sure cuts down on the cost of operation

Yes, I forgot the poo has the narrow 15" track ...it will have a drawback forsure on the footprint in deep snow over the 16"

BRP announced this summer the G4 will have the same oil consumption as XM. Thinking they likely seen an engine issue with pre production sleds and have decided to reduce the risk.

Wow, wow and wow again. Some people sure are biased to the iron they ride......both sides of the fence.

You'll al be cryin when cat brings out the 185hp 860 this winter.
unless cat comes out with a new advanced chassis, the majority will not care about a new engine.. cat had a 900 and 1000 twin before and they sure didnt make everyone want one

Pretty sure every production model will be there. I wouldn't be surprised if some snow check customers have theirs already. Buddy was told mid October for his.

Does anyone know if a production model G4 will be at the Edmonton sled show?

I had a 900 Cat and it was one of the best stock sled i ever owned, they were strong and reliable. I made the mistake of selling it in exchange for a BRP product...RT1k, that i ended up throwing a load of money at to make it work.
Should a kept the 900 but got blinded by BRP propaganda.

the 05/06 big bore two strokes disappeared for a good reason. Part of it was the increase of weight over the 800's and then the 800's gained hp.
