avi hit at 4:30 pm yesterday, saturday Jan 16 2010, elevation around 6200', north face, 40 degree slope, ran 80 to 100 meters

I set it off yesterday sidehilling the slope..


turned on it and out ran it... 80 cms to 90 cms deep, 35 to 40 degree slope, North facing, 6200 ' elevation,, 10 to 20 meters wide, ran about 100 meters into the trees and beyond... I was fine but the danger is out there...

Just goes to show that slides happen anywhere anytime. How were the CAA conditions for that day? Curious if they were accurate.
