It is too bad that these people don't think longer about the consequences of their actions before they do it. Not only are they putting their own lives in jeopardy, they are also putting the rescuers lives in jeopardy everytime they partake in these activities. All of this for a "high mark" on a snow covered mountain. While it is extremely sad that several people have lost their lives doing this sport, they also leave behind a painful reminder to the people who cared for and loved them, and those are the ones who have to deal with the tragedy on a daily basis.
Surely the thrill of this cannot be worth the end result, especially when that result is tragic.

Your an Azzhole you have no respect no common sence and no human decency. Speak ill of the dead your a clown keep your opinions to yourself. Better yet speak it openly in public and hopefully someone like me is within ear shot and breaks your jaw for spewin chit.:nono:

You are so right! Because of your extreme wisdom I am certain the world will quit consuming McDonald's, quit driving to work, quit working in risky jobs, quit all sports etc. In fact I bet we will all quit living and just exist.

Furthermore, Norbert worked in the oilpatch and farmed all his life (both extremely risky occupations). How dare he take those risks to put food on YOUR table, fuel in YOUR car and heat in YOUR home. He could have been seriously injured or killed doing so and put rescuers in harms way....But I suppose that is acceptable because it benefits you?

When you pass, I am certain your friends and family will remember you for being the truly pompous a$$ you are. To create an acct and disrespect the fallen and their families in this manner is a demonstration of your severe lack of respect and couth. Just a suggestion here but perhaps you may want to get off your soap box and quit judging everyone else..look in your own back yard.

My apologies to the remainder of the respectful S&M members for this post.

That's one ahole heard from the real sledders support you and have your back as you can see by the previous posts. Hope you guys are healing as best you can in these tough times.:)

Fatalities - According to the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA): During the past 10 years, about 38 people have died skiing/snowboarding per year on average. Why?????

Drownings 2,900 deaths per year
(Drowning: Includes drownings of person swimming or playing in water, or falling into water, except on home premises or at work. Excludes drownings involving boats, which are in water transportation) Why?????

Well said!

I'm sorry that you had to come back and kick some dick-heads a** but you did a great job.

They will never understand and their selfishness is so blatant that it get sickening.

Once again, sorry for your loss and my thoughts and condolences are with you.

When I saw Why's first post my first thought was TROLL! I PMed the moderators and asked for this post to be removed (and the person warned) so that the people in mourning would not have to see it. Sadly, this post was not deleted. I am not sure why as I bet more than one person has complained.

The best way to deal with TROLLS is to completely ignore them. TROLLS feed on arguments and smack talk. It makes me very sad to see that Thankful Mom had to see this post let alone reply to the TROLL. This is not the place to post negative responses especially when loved ones have been lost and people are in mourning.

Again, I am very sorry that Thankful Mom had to read this person's nasty post.

Again we apologize for the selfish post that was posted. As I am a survivor myself and gone through tough times just about 2 years ago, I lost a friend then as well. And all these people that passed snowmobiling would not want us to stop cause of what happened. Just learn from it and enjoy. Theres times when I'm at the top of the world in the mountains with a blue sky and I will say hi to Albert. Some people just are ignorant and think about themselves that it.
