The math a carpenter uses is pretty basic as far as math goes. It’s turning that math into something well built and dimensionally correct that takes skill. The difference between a skilled carpenter and a wood butcher is enormous. And don’t even mention what it takes to be a good finishing carpenter.

I have been required under the terms of my corporations ASA, to report to TSBC monthly the Journeyman and apprentices working for us and verify the trade regulations Jman to apprentice ratio is followed.

Never heard of being able to use non certified workers before in a compulsory trade.

Cyle, putting up 2x6's for a straight wall isn't rocket science and the math isn't difficult. Stairs and railings, trusses, rafters, turrets, span tables, etc., etc. are a lot more than 2+2. I would feel quite offended if I were a certified carpenter and read what you posted.

Carpenters use trailer brakes tho.
