Three skiiers killed in an avy in the US today and a snowboarder. You have to remember that we have not had a lot of snow = not a lot of sledding = not many avalanches (light snowpack and traffic). There are a lot of reasons that the avalanche fatalities/injuries have been low in Canada also the snowpack right now is very stable but there has not been a lot of sledders out right now either. Still "go big and go home".
