HMMMM, IN RACE CARS WE WOULD ADD STP FUEL TREATMENT, BECAUSE THE AV GAS IS VERY DRY, WITH NO ADDITIVES FOR THE VALVES AND SEATS.... OCTANE CAN BE FROM 105 TO 120 I BELEIVE........

Like Ric says, its dry. Its made to burn well over 10,000 feet. I mix mine with 94 octane chevron 50/50 brings octane level to 102 ish I beleive. The av gas is called 100 LL (Low Lead). I think there is a thread here somewhere telling all about it.

Yah the other thread should still be going about the gas issue.. In true octane numbers av gas is only like 1 octane hire than 94 octane.. Running it in a turbo you should ask twin turbo about that.. He ran his twin turbo rt1000 many times this year on vp C111 race gas, then he tried avgas and only made it like 24km up the trail before it burnt a piston... If i was you i would look into getting some 111 it's like 107octane, and its only like 525.00 for a 54G drum.. And i know that the av was only like 30-40 cheaper.. So is it really worth the risk?????

It actually works out to about 2.50/ltr if you buy it by the drum, which is a 54g drum.. It's 525.00 a drum.. Thats for c111, it's cheaper than the c110 i beleive. Cause they make the 111 specifically for the winter and for sledders.. And they go thru such a large quantity that they can give a price break. The main vp distributor orders a really large amount from vp at a time so he gets a better price..

Oh yah, and depending on how much boost a guys runnin on his yamm you may only have to mix it like 50/50.. Or less for low boost, or full strength for those good boost days.. Thats one nice thing with the 4strokes not having to run it straight all the time.. But we might have that stuff kinda worked out a bit next year for the 2strokes so that you can mix the 111 with prem..

Av gas is a min. 100 octane. Av is fine if you are running up to 15:1 any higher better go race gas. obviously the 2 stroke turbos have to run race. Av gas is $1.60 a litre now.
