Cruising up the Athabasca right now should not be encouraged for the inexperienced. A mistake could be fatal. Ice depth
can change very fast.

its not bad if you know the river , ive hunted it for years , and fished it i know all the deep and dangerous spots , and yes dont travel it unless you have someone to fill you in wheres safe to play and where to stay away from , , anyways happy sledding everyone ,
