Im well aware of that.... Should be making around 17ish more HP at 3500. That should still be very noticeable.

I'm sure it is noticeable. but it's going to be a lot more noticeable at the 7000feet or so it was meant to operate in though...

Lil sensitive eh? wtf I'll probably do some tinkering when I get mine too....

the thing is designed to make more power at altitude. not made to ditch bang in Edson.
No, I have not had my first coffee yet. Lol

The sled is designed to make 165hp from sea level to 8000ft. Im at a altitude and doing the math, It should have 17hp more and felt more than my 850. Understand what im getting at???

Have a look at the primary and secondary intakes. Truthfully I didn’t know they were there till after I rode the sled. I didnt watch all the vids that came out, It a turbo cool whats there to understand. Lol

After I rode it I was puzzled, didn’t feel right, but I did like it. The sled works very well, its clean, but For a 4300rpm engaugement I wondered why it didn’t feel like it had more power, especially at -30 with all that cold air getting crammed down its mouth.

I will have one dont get me wrong.

Look are we going to have to have a lilduke vs K45 thread ? I wont be able to meet up on the hill tho as Im hanging out on a Rig most of the winter. Maybe you bring new Skidoo Turbo and I bring sled with 18lbs boost and meet up in Edson...Should be like KaneDog vs Turbo outcome Lol
I get that its going to make full boost at 8000ft and I also stated before that it does not make any boost until 6500 RPM - And stated that it making an extra 17hp ish ( Should still be very noticeable even in Edson. I know a low boost. Boost It turbo XM at 5lbs was pretty impressive compared to a stock XM so this thing I would expect to perform pretty well even with this small turbo.

A boost it turbo? Don’t compare the two. My brother has one, ive ridden my brothers turbo in edson here tuning it, at 3.5lbs its very impressive with a 174 3”.

Do consider that there is also a break in period with these sleds where everything is held back by the computer.

My posts are basically joking around with Lilduke obviously when I throw out 18lbs boost. This thread has some real stupid comments on how and why Skidoo set up this T850.
I have seen a couple videos of Jay Mentaberry ripping on the T850 I have no idea if its out of break in mode or not but his sled is performing quite well.
No matter what tho When Caper rode the T850 it should still pull better than a stock 850 in break in mode or not. My last 850 never seemed to gain any power when out of break in mode but then Im as stated before Im no where near a decent rider.

Maxwell has it out for a trial this weekend, and when I was at Martins there was a few people loading them up and 3 more in the back being assembled to go out right away. There will be some people certainly commenting on what there like in the mountains up in the 6000-8000 range. And I’m sure other dealers have many out already. I will like to see the updates to this thread next week.

Been a long week of Ski-doo talk..

Be nice to have a few on the snow this weekend being ridden by people who aren't being paid by BRP Marketing, magazine or dealerships to tell us how Awesome the new Ski-Doo is.. Of all the videos, i noticed they didn't do any comparison, side by side or even show a stock Expert around..
