Id be surprised if polaris doesnt offer a turbo for spring check. I imagine they are rushing something together with Burrandt as we speak!

Arctic Cat, I don't know? They could throw in the towel or they might try to scab something together too?

Cat has had patents for a turbo since 2017 it’s a totally unique parallel exhaust type design that should work pretty good. They were supposed to release it in December but something put things on hold and they never released it. Perhaps they caught wind of the doo kit and wanted them to be the guinea pig

Guinea pig for what?... Being able to sell thousands of 850T's?

I had wondered if the reason the did a mid season release was BRP had a feeling Polaris was going to have a turbo release.

Just wanted to be first to the market.

Either way it does make for some decent competition.

Just talked to my buddy that rode kakwa this weekend. I should mention hes only owned turbos and the 850 175 doo was his first nat aspirated sled he’s owned now this turbo. So he is coming off a ‘18 850 doo. So pretty decent gauge I think. Pulls very hard and zero lag. First booster he’s ran with no lag. Spools up instantly. Didn’t really notice fuel an oil consumption. Still in break in mode obviously. All smiles, no alarms. No demo he actually bought it.

Yeah forsure. What about this thing? Its supposed to be 180hp at any altitude and is coming out for next season too. Electric is super toquey too.

Going to be some bad ass mountain sleds coming out over the next few years. Turbo 2 strokes, and then E sleds that blow them away? Interesting times in the sled tech.

Seen one today at Wetaskiwin Motorsports. This sled looks awesome. Can’t wait to try one!

if cat and Polaris haven’t already started research and prototyping a sled to compete with this they’re going to be a couple years behind skidoo. Lots of work involved in making a sled run and work as well as the 850 turbo . I’ve had tons of Sled’s boosted non-boosted. I was super impressed by the skidoo Turbo. Runs absolutely flawless can’t even make it stumble. I did manage to get the track to ratchet once so it will need to be tight always. Cats for sale. Back to doo for me. I will have one in my garage October.

Is that the one Johnny looked at and they said it wouldn’t stand up to the type of riding he wanted from it? Lol

While I get it that everyone here has a hard-on for this turbo with warranty, but to say that is all that is going to be on the hill next year may be a stretch. Ya'll think the average guy is going to drop another 4g on top of the price of a current brand new sled, when most of the time current ones are more than they need or can handle? Not saying it won't be the next golden ticket, but if the baseline cost is now $24g OTD, gonna be a lot of people running them for multiple years if they can hold together.

I don’t know what constitutes a young guy anymore and I have been lucky enough to pay cash for my last couple of sleds but what does it matter if anyone, young or any age finances something if that is what makes sense for them?
