Turbo day today. That sled is sweeeet. The new front end has such easy steering. The power is so smooth and runs factory stock. this sled is not for everyone it definitely rips and It makes the Mountains smaller. We were in eagles today. The sled got pushed pretty good. No belt temp warning. Due to avalanche conditions and poor visibility no real big pulls were done. Rode mostly in the trees and it’s a weapon. It just really makes ya giggle while riding

Maxwell, what is your report on your first ride of the new turbo?


We spent 2 good days on it this past weekend. 2 feet of fresh blower snow. We brought out the 165" stock machine too so we could jump back and forth and compare. Big mistake, stock 165 is not a fun sled anymore.$$$$$$$$$$$

I am having trouble putting my thoughts into words because this machine just kind of left me speechless all weekend. I have tried multiple aftermarket turbos from Low boost 5Lb "pump gas" kits up to 12lb race gas machines. This sled is just phenomenal. The Power delivery is unlike any other turbo 2 stroke. Smooth, Linear, you dont get that weird Unmanageable surge of power that an aftermarket kit has when the boost comes on. Its Operates like a 2 stroke engine that makes 165hp at 8000ft. Its like a muscle car, just keeps pulling and pulling. The stock 850 Bottom end is retained and i would almost venture to say it might be slightly better. In No instance did i catch my self compensating for any sort of turbo lag like you would on an aftermarket turbo. You can say your aftermarket kit has no lag or minimal lag but until you try this machine you wont realize how much you have adjusted your riding style to compensate for Bottom end Lag even if it is minimal. This machine has none. Period. I worked the sled to the max by loading it up as best i could and doing throttle chops to see how the boost would come back. It is instant in any situation. It may only make 4lbs of boost but this machine will hang with an aftermarket sled making 5-6 Lbs all day long. We dropped into a few bowls that were untouched and i had to make multiple pulls on a stock 165 to get out. This machine is the real deal. I held it to the bar for well over a minute on a couple occasions and it didnt skip a beat. In fact in the entire weekend of riding it never Bogged, skipped,missed or did anything strange. It runs like a factory sled that you can trust to do what you need it to do every time you mash the throttle. The engine is so responsive in any situation that it really gives you a new level of confidence. As for handling goes, its just like an expert you wont notice the weight or position of the turbo one bit. Carves like a hot knife through butter and is very predictable. The belt alarm hasn't gone off yet. But due to visibility we weren't able to do any extremely long pulls. From my very limited looks down at the Gauge cluster on average i was making 20 kmh more track speed than the stock 165 850 under full load. that may not sound like much but i would bet the Ground speed is much more than that. On numerous instances this machine would catch up and pass the stock 165 from 300+ yards back. We had smiles on our faces all day. This machine puts snowmobiling into a whole new level of fun. Fuel and Oil consumption is close to the same which i was quite surprised by considering it is still in breakin mode. Me and my Gf switched back and forth all day and when we fueled up the next morning the turbo only took 2 liters more and we spent more time riding the turbo i would say. I think this might be due to the fact that you just arent spinning the track for the long durations that you are on a stock machine trying to climb a hill. But if you get a deep sunny day, Bring fuel, you will need it regardless. When your on the boost its going to use more fuel. Overall this machine is just so much fun i cant even put it into words. are there faster turbo sleds? You bet, but they dont run like this one ill bet my bottom dollar. Is this sled for everyone? maybe not. It is fast, everything happens faster. In the hands of a novice rider it could be a bad situation. But for any experienced mountain rider i think this sled is the ticket. I could not come up with one reason not to have one. It just works better in all situations and has that stock run ability and reliability. You feel confident in the tight trees, open areas, everywhere!Its the right amount of power for technical riding. i dont care if your Caleb Kesterke 10lbs of boost in technical riding is not manageable. We did not open the side panel once for 2 days. If you ride deep snow this is the sled to beat. I was impressed how the engine was so smooth all the way from 2500-8000ft the Factory computer calibration is so spot on that it had no run ability issues from low elevation to high elevation. Considering we just put 91 octane in from the pump! so awesome! One thing i did notice on the trail up is the Bypass valve. At a certain cruising speed you will be in and out of that bypass so there is some fluttering happening at those certain RPM/Speeds. No big deal, go 5kmh faster or slower and its gone and its not hurting anything anyways. The limiter strap adjuster is a must, I had this sled in party mode all day and it will wheelie from a standstill and flip right over backwards. So much fun. But being able to adjust that limiter means you can climb any steep hill you need. With a lower riser you could leave the strap loose and likely climb anything. That factory tall riser just puts your body weight further back. which brings me to my next point. Things they could have done differently. #1 - shorter riser, this sled should have the expert riser on it, dont know why they did that maybe because some people still prefer the taller one. #2 The Rear skid shock should be the same clicker shock from the expert. Not because it would help it climb better but because you need more bottoming resistance when your moving that much faster hitting features with way more speed. #3 - The intake screens - They work flawless, never bogged once and they clear themselves. However guys are going to break these as they are just frog skinz. Once its punctured the snow will just go into the airbox. We shall see what they release at snow check but im thinking this will be a little more refined. If it inst, then i guess we will leave it up to the aftermarket for some extra protection. I am a little worried about the tracks as guys are having issues with them in stock form, So with more track speed i think guys are just going to have to be more aware of not boosting over stumps etc. Overall amazing machine, i wont be back on a naturally aspirated machine again i dont think. Working on compiling some video now!

Im wondering if that ad is a scam??? Original ad said it was in valemount, now it says sicamous.

I emailed him on Kijiji and asked why all the changes, photos removed as well. I think ill report it before someone gets scammed. Its under 2 spots on there as well, poster has been on there for 10 years, but with all the changes I would be sceptical. And as far as I know you need to get the Best warranty when purchasing the sled not after.

Thank for the review, but This doesnt help my pocketbook at all. Lol. I cant wait to try one in the hills
