I was thinking. SRD,greenie's and all of us who quad should promote building bridges to cross creeks or streams. Or even marsh and wet areas.

This would limit water crossing.

Sledderglen found an ad on Kijiji from the high school in Drayton Valley building 30 foot x 6 foot wide engineered bridges with planking and selling them for $500, we may be purchasing some for our rally and outfitting them to be moved in and out as required.... sure would be nice to be able to leave them in though.....

I admit I cross a creek once in a while, but I don't treat our creeks and rivers like a car wash:nono:. Please show a little respect for our water:fish:. Without it we all will die! All it takes is a few people to do stupid things and all areas will be :drive::closed_2:

Yah and where's his damn helmet.. some people:D

Usually can find rig mats cheaper than that - make good bridges for sleds & quads.

the issue there is according to SRD they have to be "engineered", also rig mats are not as easily moved, we are not allowed to leave our bridges in after the event we are asked to removed them, so these ones we could either build to come apart, or put wheels on the back of them and remove them with a quad or UTV and tow them back with a truck.

Where are you finding rig mats for under $500 bucks each? Either you are thinking something totally different or those are the chittiest mats ever. They are like $4000 each new.

another very valid point.... if you're finding them that cheap, let Hadster know, I know he's working with a group on the Rocky Rail Line trail.
