Are more sledders becoming idiots or are more idiots becoming sledders?

Part of the problem is 20 years ago you spout off and get loud others would step up and say pipe down champ or get punched out. There was lots of guys willing to fight for whats right. For example. I was at Tim hortons in the back of a line up and a guy walked in. Threatens a younger child (8 or so) he says making faces and giving him the finger when he went through the drive through. This 70 lb kid with 80 yr old grandma were freaked right out. He swore and yelled at the boy. Not one person close by said anything. I couldn't take it and walked to him and said enough pal. Wtf is wrong with u. He's a little boy. I pushed him back and told him to beat it. This tough guy took off and never looked back. The point is it seems like people get away with more. Drive like ash077s. Bully. Ect and for the most part never get called on it. That's the problem.

There`s one of them rock stars lol.

I should have read the whole thing before I posted. I didn`t know it was just about parking. I thought it was about the differences between past and present and maybe bring in more family.

Imagine unloading with your kids and having a group of T teamers there lol. You have to stay away from pay to play spots or park away from the rest and use a Hibachi (that`s a little barby T-team).

I don't think you are stupid T team. No idea of your IQ but I do know you are ignorant. How can you be expected to understand things you have never experienced. Things like family days, needing help just to go in a straight line. Sorry for you. It`s sad to be so selfish to never experience those things ( I got that info from reading your other posts here, pretty smart for a whiny old guy eh!).

You should look up the movie Clockwork Orange and watch it. Oldie but right up your alley. I`m sure you will enjoy it and rev you up to go friggin sleddin.

More, more, more. Buy, buy, buy.

Speaking of being ignorant.. lol. I have probably had more days of helping people around than you ever will, but a valid assumption...Becuase im selfish and have never been on a family ride or a "FUN" ride with new people...and you know that for certian.... And I SAID that the original post was GOOD.... the parking lot IS annoying!!! As in YES... people DO need to learn how to park and take advantage of the space thats there. But I thank you for your valid opinion on myself. How DARE I try and stick up for the sport. Im not sure how anyone can take what I wrote as a negative point... at all. But If so I apologize!!!!!

One last thing.. since you are obviosly pretty smart... like you said in your post... I wouldn't judge a book by its cover.. In case you havent learned that yet in your ripe old age. Me... and my group... Would be the FIRST ones to stop and throw a day of sledding to make sure everyone got back safe if you.. or your kids EVER had a problem on the hill without giving it a second thought. I do it all the time.. Weather its stopping to help someone wrench on a sled or giving someone a tow all the way back to the truck. And I said nothing about buy buy buy... I said the more people sledding and out on the hills the better. Obviosly its good for the economy of sledding.. and good sir.. Without that you and your family wouldn't HAVE your family day rides... realize it or not but almost all of the areas people ride have to be looked after and maintained by someone.. And trust me when I say its quite a struggle from my expereince for them to keep them going for you to enjoy.

Hmmmm I've read your original post and I am curious as to wether all the guys read it at all or just skimmed and assumed you said park how you want and all you lad fawkers quit bitchin.

Also want to say first hand I have seen t-teams and his groups help in the hills more than once giving up hours of ride time to make sure others enjoy they're day and/or are safe...

People are very quick to judge on internet post.... Come to think of it also very quick to judge in chitty crowded parking lots...

T-terms original post said maybe don't approach the situation as an a$$hole and go offer the people in question help or friendly advice. And that as much as the congestion and newbies to our sport may make for headaches is is much needed for the continued growth to the sport we love and the growth of much needed resources by the money they bring I to the industry....and you guys misconstrued it into him being a young punk spouting off to the older or "experienced" peeps.

The comments made I response to T's first post show how quickly we as a group can turn a mile hill into a mountain instead of approaching it in a more civilized and understanding way...

Point proven Trent!

I interpreted as we are all a bunch of whiners, and should just STFU and go riding. Young or old, black or white, skinny, fat, don't matter, we should educate folks. How much more education do people need about parking?Go to a concert or the ski hill, they have some jr high school kid or some minor league hockey team in yellow vests and safety stripes directing people where to park. Stop, think about it. I fully understand the OP and frustration. Everyone has really easy solutions - do this, do that. Even the guys first in the lot in the morning can be blocked in just as easy as the guy who shows up a 1 pm.

Is it really that hard to understand parking in a straight line or rows to maximize space and still allow enough room for others to be able to leave at the end of the day? Or should we hire some jr high kids to show people how to park? C'mon....

And not just parking lots in the mountains.
Was at the Monkey Top in Bentley last weekend and the big parking lot out back had the entrance all but blocked off and there were only two sleds in there. People just too FN lazy to walk an extra 50'.

Caribou grille Saturday around 8pm? Ya I was there it was pretty embarrassing and I was way on the other side. Pretty sad you can't look at that restraunt and think "geeze this doesn't look like a get drunk and make a lot of noise kind of place"

Last time I was there it was full of families and old folks and a group of guys came in straight off the hill, still wearing full sledding gear and they were right hammered, screaming and yelling for their whole meal. If your going out for a nice dinner at least go back to the hotel for 5 mins to ditch the the riding gear. Nobody wants to sit and eat their dinner next to a bunch of stinky guys that just got off the mountain.
