Good ? here,

Danielle is giving Albertans a chance to learn about possibilities ; as well, she maybe trying to save that pension for you before Trudeau steals it and gives it to the WEF, and we know he will. Trudeaus goal is to destroy Canada and sell us to the IMF( WEF). That can’t happen if we have a sizeable asset like the CPP, as that would prevent Canada from going bankrupt. Question here: the CERB was paid out from the EI fund during Covid plandemic. No controls were in place and a lot of it went to Russian hackers , so, is there anything left of the fund?

I was told 20 years ago that the CPP is so poorly managed that by the time my generation gets to withdraw from it there won’t be anything left

Could be very true, lets see going forward though as i am not there yet. Sure hope Alberta goes this route though more $ for Albertans and less taken off both ways. Quebec is solo so there is no reason why we can't be as well, being the Economic engine for this nation Imo.

Just another scare tactic, the cpp fund is secure . Like I said build your financial plan around not getting it and when you do it is a bonus.

That's easy to say though, the CPP is secure right now because Albertan's contribute huge sums of money to it every year. If Alberta pulls out it could destabilize the remainder of the fund. What happens if Alberta slows down, or when a substantial portion of us contributing decide to retire?

If you can't count on collecting it, then it's just another tax. I don't particularly trust the Alberta Government to do right with my money, but it's certainly the lesser of 2 evils when compared with the Feds.

Problem is Ottawa (and likely the other provinces) aren't going to give our share back willingly, so either it's going to require a lengthy fight in court or we take less than we are entitled to and start over.

A concern a friend brought up that’s very plausible. If the UCP is successful in convincing Albertans to vote for an Alberta plan, are a large number of provinces going to be pissed that their CPP rates will be going up ? This scenario could definitely hurt the CPC going into the next election.

Oh well some of us are sick/tired of paying for other provinces off our Alberta working backs, maybe they can suck it up for once. Alberta has seemed to be the economic engine for the nation fawk that. Explain to me why Quebec can do it and we cannot, explain why Quebec gets a pass on EQ payments and the Carbon tax the list is vast and i will wait. Btw i'm all in for my kids sake and other hard working Albertans that simply would like quality of life and less taxes otherwise it only gets worse and i do not want to be like Venezuela nor live like that.

I would agree with what you are saying. This will take a few years to play out and we will see what Alberta will get.
