POWDERCHOWDER has a beautiful 06 F350 king ranch for sale. It has been a really good truck with only minor problems, i can't remember what has gone wrong with it but the only reason he is selling it is because his wife has a second child on the way and its a pain in butt with a 6" lift.

Curtis, go on Dieselstop, or ford truck enthusiasts.

In my opinion, if a motor has to have a set of 1800$ studs, and 40 hours labour to make them reliable, you have a problem. PERIOD.

The early injectors (2003 1/2 to 2004) were a big problem.

All injectors use oil pressure to be activated. It's not a unique thing.

Yes early 6.0l were hard on injectors till they programed out the pilote injecton, ever notice a 2003 was quiter till it got reprogramed, and not all diesels use high pressure oil the fire the injectors, huei, common rail, mechanical are all diff systems. And most smart people if they had head gasket issues just had the dealer throw in studs when the gaskets were done under warrenty.

LMFAO I love the guys 200 000km and 3 sets if injecters. If you go though injecters like that its a pretty good sign you run chit fuel and don't change the oil enough. Ford 6.0l are a huei engine they use oil to fire the injectors chit oil, chit injector life. Head studs, egr delete, chip, and good syn oil and i have seen these thing run for 200 000km with no problems at all. All diesels break down now they are all chit with the new emmision standards, the nice thing with the the 6.0l once you got rid of the egr and put in head studs they are pretty reliable.

reliable as an expired condom used on a aids victim if the bilge pump of the arc was powered by a 6 litre i would rather drown a little early

Don forget it was the only time a maker of an engine had to be sued by the end user ( Ford ) to cover the warranty claims against it.

Oh but let me guess you stand behind you dodge no matter what. Oh the cummins is so bullet proof, ya right ask any dodge diesel tech they suck to. All those 6.0 warrenty claims and ford is still ahead of dodge and chev.

cummins between the frame rails of a ford now you got somthing

The new 6.7 seems to be holding up havent seen to many in the shop yet and thats no bad for a job 1 build. Way better than the 6.0 and 6.4 so far, even seen a few with over 100 000km already and nothing but oil changes.

I have an 06 6.0 crew cab longbow. Use it for work heavy loads, construction, etc. Bought it brand new. Just rolled over 100,000 clicks only problem went through two steering pumps both on warranty. Have it chipped etc no issues. Always service regularly with synthetic ams oil. Love the truck 100%

$1800 and 40hrs labor?! If you need any work done, give me a call!!!!!!!!!!!!...I got my studs for less than $500, and had the heads done in less than 20hrs, keeping the cab where it was....I think I was into my stolen trucks motor for less than 40hrs and that was an R+R with a pile of upgrades!

As much as I do STAND behind my Cummins I actually own a ford 6.7.

Actually own about 15 ford diesels and some cummins a couple duramax's.

And I probably owned more 6L then you have not saying Ford itself sucks
Just that as many people who have owned and or built them know the 6L was the biggest mistake in Ford diesel history

"worst engine in modern diesel history" Diesel power magazine. I know several people that have had them, chipped and stock. All garbage. Do not buy. Biggest mistake you'll ever make

FICM, EGR Cooler, Turbo, fuel pump all within first 150,000km. Something that I don't think anybody else has mentioned is the Brake callipers seizing. I've had all 4 of mine seize.
