Last sled I knew that dropped in there was choppered out. That was 10 years or so ago. It was a 96 yamaha vmax 136. Same scenario. Everyone went left, he went right. Guys were up there till 1am trying to find him. He had decided to try to walk out to the main trail on his own instead of the way he went down. Needless to say first trip to the mountains for him and he spent the night up there as well.

I have been down over that ridge in the later part of spring when the snow as set up like pavement and it was still one hell of a pull to get out of there. If your a good dancer you might be able to make your own hyway and climb out your self, but might be best to let the locals try first.:rolleyes: Anyway good luck, and post some pics :d:d

Well, good news to report! Sled is loaded on deck and back at home ready for another excursion in the Rocky Mountains! Me and a buddy snowshoed in Friday, spotted sled and dug out, cleaned up track and tried to get out without alot of success. Made it maybe 200ft, but got pointed in right direction. Packed a launch ramp and snow shoe trail, ran out of daylight to hiked back out for day. Saturday went back in and the trail had setup like pavment, was able to get track speed and launch out....then just a matter of boondocking back out to the knob. Figure I was aprox 3km from knob. I know that in bluebird day really hard to understand how I got to where I was, and riding out when you can see the downhill side...little more stressfull. All in all, quite a sledding adventure! Thanks again to Sled Den and all for there support and big thanks to Rod for his expertise, looking forward to going riding with Rod, hopefully in not too distance future..
