The chassis is a 1977 Everest 440 with electric start. The 444L/C motor was available 1978/79. then upgraded to the 464 in 1980.

Been reading up a bit on this sled.
i understand that i have to premix the fuel, but there seems to be an oil tank that supplies oil to the rotary valve. Is this required? Or will the premix lube it?

As a kid we had a 444 for a bit. It was fast! That small tank is for rotary valve and crank bearings but still needs to be pre mixed.

The tank and hose on mine is missing. I guess I'll have to find another.

Yes you will need the small tank to oil the worm gear on the crankshaft to rotary valve.
