Yamaha & You can blame everyone they want...BLAH BLAH BLAH....lol At the end of the day ,the rhino is unable to compete with the other machines and has lost market share....sorry that is just a fact. I may not be a manufacturing expert as you claim to be ,however i do know my shares in popo have gone from 40 $ to over 110$ . In the same economy as the rhino is in !!

I guess if you don`t sell enough then you can`t retool.....Time to shut it down then , i would say.Seeing as Polaris made around 2 billion clear last year , and profits were up 60 % apx. it would appear that you just need the right product. That is why the rzr outsells all other offroad products about 5 to 1. I as a consumer want better products each year, not color changes like yamaha has done for the past 6 years. This is why Canam & Polaris is making money and gaining market share at the others expense.........
I will grant you though that is a hell of an excuse story you did come up with though....

It's because Yamaha had the SxS idea first, came out with a product which was awesome at the time. The more the market flooded, people began to realize,.. hey we can sue the chit out of them because we can't get off our redneck arses and work harder, but make others pay for our stupidity. Yamaha lead the way for others to build SxS's to enter into the market, competitor marketing and engineering was better because Yamaha was forced to put advancement on hold and it has reflected a product that hasn't progressed to compete and they have lost the market share,..

Will they get it back,.. I doubt it.

It makes a hell of a lot more sense than your braindead statement that Yamaha is entirely pulling out of a major north American market just because Polaris has sold a few more side by sides in the past 3 years. You gonna tell me that Victory is beating them to a pulp in the street market too?

What??? I never said that

I realize going from 1% to 3% is technically a 200% increase, but it still doesn't add up to much in the big picture.

I would disagree, the sales numbers are going up unlike yamaha. Looks like their numbers are dropping faster than the designers can come up new graphics for the 6 year old rhinos.......

Fact is Polaris has passed yamaha for sales in ATV`S / UTV`S / Snowmobiles/ and are catching them on street bikes...

I will concede however that Yamaha is trashing POPO when it comes to piano sales......

Umm in the sales of motorcycles Victory isnt even on the graph!! they are under "others" which is less that 1 percent of sales, and that is with 5 other brands like ducati and triumph. Yamaha however is second in sales at 20 percent. hundred thousand bike sold to a few thousand. Google works!!!

RZR you clearly stated that Victory is catching up in motorcycle sales. Which is so idiotic it gave my a good chuckle!!! Yamaha is Global like previously stated, hense they have the funds to weather the storm on the rhino, they will not change that platform since it still does sell just not like Poo. We will have a 3 year wait at least before they introduce anything into the sxs sport market. They are notorious with leaking stuff to the net when they have something and we havnt even seen a concept so what ever they are drawing up is years away and well the point isthis. They can afford it because of the huge market shares they have in other places.

GM was global ,so was Enron what was your point again....LOL Since your good at google and i could not be bothered, look it up....If you love yamaha and want to wait 9 years for product development ,go ahead !! The vast majority will switch brands ,like they are right now. Yamaha has not changed their big bore atv/ utv in years ,that is why they are loosing market share , YES IT`S THAT EASY !!!

Sorry if you know anything at all about business , you cut the the ones not making money , Not subsidize them....lol

sorry bud, polaris had to rebuild from there ranger, yamaha was destroying them in the sales dept. i would not count out any of the big four from loseing market share for long, canam has just brought a new unit to the market. you may not want to hold your breath. you and tex should brush up on your notes. brand loyalty is one thing, but you seem to take it to a new BS level. looks like polarazz will have you buying there crap for a long time. good luck, maybe buy a tool kit and extra parts. ya may need them.

I have owned Yamaha /kawasaki/canam/honda /suzuki/polaris/husqavarna/skidoo/artic cat ...... and a few you probally have never heard of, so i am not brand loyal at all. I just call it as i see it and right now Polaris and Canam are on top. The rest have not kept up.....What have you owned...??

I think i have to agree with rzrgade here a bit. I have really been watching out on the trails this year to see how many of what i see, and when it come to the sxs's out of every 5 of the dam things i see out on the trail 3 to 4 of them are rzr's. But when it comes to the guads there seems to be more can am's than anything else. my 2 cents that's what i see. I will also say that Yamaha has to really do something, the grizzly and rhino are way behind the rest of the atv world.
