Biggest issue with our riding is mud and water.

I keep my inreach and bca radio in a roof bag.

Any other spot is wet.

Thing with a old school CB or VHF is the antenna. Could get ripped off if going through tight trees. Or most times needs a metal roof or a permanent mount antenna. Antennas gotta be matched to the CB or it burns out the radio as well.

Never had an issue with cb of vhf ant on the jeep. But I also ran a spring at the bottom. If I ran them like I do my whips I'd might as well chainsaw them off
