Nice. Not sure exactly what all You got there. Looking like a couple 82-83 big reds, couple 185's and maybe a 110?

One 185 and the rest 200's. Loads of fun if the whole crew is on one. Not much fun if you're trying to ride with quads or bikes.

Unless you're riding your little sisters bike.

From last September. Got together with a group and rode Brule for the weekend.

Kids ride my old 1983 Suzuki 50cc. Everything original including the spark plug. Sat for 25 years, cleaned the carb up and it fired up second pull. Great unit.

Lil Trail Buddy. Right on. If I was into the mini's I'd probably be looking to collect one of these.

Just picked this one up today. 1983 Yamaha 200e. Needs triple clamps to make it rideable, but other than that it's all there and complete. Fires up right away and seems to run good. Just needs a few hours of love to reclaim the painted plastics and good to go.

now thats a project, is that paint rolled on or box liner tough to tell from pictures but looks little thick and textured

It's Plasti-dip. Unfortunately it doesn't just peel off like it's supposed to. The plastics are oxidized underneath and it's stuck on pretty good. Little razor blade action and some wet sanding will reclaim them nice.

got a '83 185 for sale if anyone interested

I'm not interested in the 185's myself, but if you got pics and a price I can throw it out there and see if there's some interest. There's a page on Facebook called Canada Alberta trikes. Lots of enthusiasts on there who may be looking.

Prices on these vary so much what do you think it's worth...

Looks to be in fairly good shape. Plastics look goo no cracks racks are straight. Decals are faded and rubbed off the tank with some external rust. Over all id say anywhere between 600-800. But for some strange reason prices are going up right now despite the economy. I'd start at 800 for sure maybe even a bit higher. Can always come down in price.

6 days of parts scrounging, fixing and cleaning, it's almost ready to go.

Day 1

Day 6

Just waiting on some bearings to finish the steering stem, and good to go.

What are you folks using to clean up the old pastics?

On this unit, it was sitting for a long time in the sun, so the plastics were oxidized real bad, then the kid I got it from painted it with Plastidip. Unfortunately that crap doesn't peel off in this situation. I used a blade from a utility knife and scraped everything away to good plastic. Then lots of wet sanding progressively going to a finer grit. Then there are plastic polishing compounds available and you can buff it back to a shine. A heat gun will also help in getting rid of white marks from when the plastic was bent or stressed. Just need to be careful on how much one heats it up. To much and now you have warped melted plastic.

Haha not to bad. Kid did half of it. Still needs a bit more though. Got a new plan anyways. Apparently Yamaha in their great wisdom changed the bearing size in the steering neck from 83-84. New bearings aren't cheap. But I have all the parts in an 84 donor, so doing a big swap right now. Taking it a step farther and even painting the frame and other metal components.

if your gonna do it might as well do it right...especially with a trike hard enough to keep it right side up
