Any one ever switch there headlight bulbs to the 100 watt instead of the 55watt?

I am wondering if any has done this ? i am wanting get brighter lights in my sled. would they possibly get way to hot compared to the stock ones?

when running the H4 bulbs in any sled that I have had.....I all ways change them out to PIAA's..... plazma white or GTX or something.....just ask at lordco....opps they dont have lordco in alberta.....try mopac in calgary......they will know what is the brightest.....I think they are 130 watt but pull 80 watt or something......but bright!

I use the xenon fusion bulbs h4's. They are the same watts and are way brighter and blue in color. Ur sleds stagger is only made for so much draw. 100 watts might be too much over 60-65 watts....think I payer like 15 bucks for these at work. I had to aim the lights down that's how much more light there is. Plus u can see shaded places in the snow at night. And its way harder to over ride the Iights

I've never changed to higher wattage bulbs in the sled, but did so to one of my vehicles afew years back and the headlight wires melted away...unable to handle the higher current. So be careful.

When I had my 97 Summit, I went from 55 to 100 yellow's. I'll do the same with my Polaris this year. Or I might try OK13's advice as well.

better check out what wattage your motor puts out first.
