Any Interest in 250cc mid sized sleds

I am looking at Getting Some King Husky 250 cc Snowmobiles in to sell and was wondering if their is any interest out there for them? The cost would be 5600 + Tax for a long track and 5300 + Tax for a short track. They are Great for kids that have grown out of their 120 cc units and not big enough for a full sized sled.

Just my opinion, but I can't imagine a demographic that this would be useful for...... any teen can probably handle a standard/"full size" sled for the same price... so who would it be useful for? People with too much money. lol

If I had kids that had a 120.... I wouldn't upgrade them to a 250 for 5k, then 2 years later buy them a 600 for another 5k.... Just my opinion though.

The Elan filled that market for a lot of years, but even that eventually became unprofitable.

I have one for my kids. They enjoy it. My 8 year old is too big for a 120 and too small for a 340 2 stroke that goes 60 to 70 mph. An elan might have worked out ok but the one I got them is much a better unit in my opinion. heated bars reverse better suspension and so on. Just posted this to see what other people thought and get some opinions see if there would be a market.

Do you have any pictures of these units? My niece and nephew are still well within the 120 size range but it would be nice to see another option for them to advance to besides trying to find an old bravo

they are nice but sorry price is to high for a Chinese 250 sled but it is exactly what is missing from the sled lineup for kids

It is a little too late for my kids, but I would have been interested a few years ago. I like the long track, and would require electric start. I don't like the price much though.

They do come with electric start and the long track is a nice option for sure. They have a top speed of 70 km/hr and are able to be governed to suit your child's abilities and let them grow into them. I do agree the price is a bit steep but there is almost no margin built into that. I would have to buy a lot of them to get the price down any and there doesn't seem to be enough interest to put a pile of money into buying a bunch of units.

X2 .... Also for those who are lookin you can still find the doo freestyle 300's with all the bell's and whistles of the big sleds for less than 5g. They do look pretty cool but they are to pricey IMO... Good on ya for inquiring though..

They are pricy for sure and I do not have too much money, but I would be interested! They do have features that an 8 and 10 year old would not really need like tach etc. My two oldest grand kids were losing interest a little riding the 120's, so I set up a 300 & 340 Yammy's, but they are so difficult to slow down and yet keep enough power to climb much of a hill on the farm. I do have a little 4 year old helliun coming up that is looking for more speed already on the 120's, and when he gets to be 8 there will be no reining that little bugger in on a 300 sled. So I would definitely purchase one of those machines to keep that little chit out of trouble.

Don’t do it. I had one for my oldest boy for a few years. It did it’s job at the time but it’s kinda a pos. All the components are pretty cheap. You will never get any parts if need, would need to be a handy guy to substitute in a random part if something breaks. This was before the modern midsize Rmk evo or the smaller 200 cc units that are now available. Better of getting an older 340 if you can’t get into the newer units.

If Covid was good for anything it was to get that thing off my hands without it heading to a dumpster. Poor guy who got mine.

At 13 he’s to big for that 250. He would destroy it in no time.

An Evo Rmk would be a great sled for starting out at that age. An older chassis smaller cc would be fine if the budget is less. But good luck on the search! The midsize chassis has been hard to find pre Covid era.
