wouldn't fordo and sam be a bit more fitting
I have a little sister she will be 16 in november and the first time i took her sledding was last year and dubbling all she would say is faster and im hoping to teach her how to ride. Ive kinda taught her on a qaud and she loved it but im not ready to let her ride mine yet cuz she likes her speed and i dont want her to get hurt mom would kill me. She also loves horses and has been riding for years. My moms family moved back here in 2007 from england so they really never seen a snowmoblie before let alone snow.
most of the women on here appear to be 55 to 60 from the pics they have posted, so its awsome there are young women getting involved in sledding to replace the grandmothers of the sport as they pass on.
Awesome thread....Momma, you have a beautiful daughter!! You must be so proud!!
Here is some pics of my 12 year old daughter and her sleds over the years....although we have encouraged her riding, she still ranks figure skating as her #1 sport. Actually sledding is much cheaper than figure skating!! lol
This is her first sled, a "hand-me-down" from her brother!
This is her second and "current" sled, although she has out grown it now!
A few years ago taking her older brother for a ride on his sled.
Her and her brother out for a ride
Her first trip to the mountains on her brothers sled
I love this one!! Sled Chick!
Her chosen sport!

welcome brooke
im the lonely bear here chatiing away with ure mom all the time and giving her advice for ure chickens and dogs
I was sooooo into riding sleds when I was your age - well actually, my entire life, but it's just different at that age - I remember imagining myself ditch banging all the ditches along the highway in the winter months on a sled as we drove in a vehicle.... I have so many super fond memories of taking sledding trips with family during that era of my life! Fun to see you younger girls in here! I have two daughters that love being out in the backcountry on sleds! It wont be long before my oldest is ripping around with us!
