Finally got a beefsteak tomato coming. Taken me few years. Without a greenhouse it’s pretty tough growing these big boys here. Anyone else enjoy and toasted tomato sammich with mayo, salt and pepper?

Be diligent. Pick it regularly so that it doesn't go to seed. Being a retired guy, you have lots of time so get out there and look after it!!anyone know how to get rid of chickweed in the garden?

I just ordered some of these. just found bad maggot problem. Also going to try using some diatomaceous earth around the onions as well.Not 100% sure this will help your root maggot probably something in your soil...but it certainly will not hurt the problem, everyone that gardens should have these out.

Was reading and is suggested to rototill in the fall and spring to bust up the larvae and plant onions and other root crops elsewhere next year. all in an attemt to break the life cycle of the fly-larvae... What a pain!
