Our garden is about 16x80 doing good but the ant problem is getting worst every year


I bet some chickens would put a dent in those ant, it is going down to 3 tonight maybe that will kill ants or plants.

Doug can i spray the plants to or just the ant hills the problem is they go down the middle of the rows where the plants are

They will all go back to the anthill sooner than later. That is home base. As Doug said always add more than the recommended dosage. The manufacturer doesn't want you to kill them as you could be sued by a left wing Liberal tree hugger

Well if you dissolve borax and icing suqar into cotton balls and put it near the nest they will pack it down there, probably the least poisoness cocktail.

I would just spray the ant hill. You could spray the plants but will have to leave them for a few days or up to a week for some plants for the Malathion to dissipate.
There should be enough spray in the "hill" that the ones coming back to it with food for the large will die also.
I used to find them under our shale pavers. I would life them up and there would be lots of them under there with their eggs. One dose and they would all be gone the next day.

We need heat over here. Tons of rain but sure would be nice when it warms up a bit
