Any axys issues yet

Johnny should be a test rider for a manufacturer. That kid can ride and get places with a sled. He needs to age more and slow down. Lol.

Ken, Johnny hasn't put his money down on that new AXYS yet so if your talking to BRP I am sure he can be convinced to ride a sponsored G4 for 2017. If Johnny can't kill it, I bet there would be a ton of guys moving to Ski-Doo.

16' RMk with 300 kms on it, bent and cracked a running board.... rear shocks blown out.

had the plug problem during brake in, mountain strap ripped off(way to easy) and track that has ripped again with very little effort. but man when it works it works amazing.

I only have 240 kms on it so nothing yet.
I thought my rear shock was blown....turns out the factory setting covers a wide range of rider weight. (160-220). So I cranked up the preload almost to max allowed ( cuz apparently I'm fat) and now she's ready for action.

I also took no chances on the track wearing/tearing and clipped the rest of the windows. $150 for a little peace of mind.

My AXYS has a terrible problem with it as it needs snow and is getting tired of sitting on the garage floor.

Anymore common issues with the Axys? How are the motors holding up now? Rode one for a bit last weekend and needless to say my cat might be up for sale and be replaced by a Polaris. Never thought I'd say that.

I would say that Polaris has the engine durability figured out. I'm at 2550km and it still pulls as strong as my wifes '17, theres a fella i know with 6400km and its on the factory engine.

The common issue is definitely the track clipping, that needs to be remedied one way or another. I clipped both of ours, its pretty easy. Overall i am very happy with it and will be buying another one next year.

Only the track wear issue from what I hear.

I also clipped mine. $150 and a few beers is cheap insurance.

Mine has been great. 650 miles so far. I did have an EGT probe fail which made it run horrible for an afternoon. Warranty took care of that, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Got a '17 axys with the 3" 163 500km.
Had it let me down on a deep deep snow day at revy. Lost spark several times which left me stranded. checked the throttle safety switch and it all seemed ok, got it running again and took it back to the parking lot. The next day I tried running it up to boulder cabin and I had a check engine light come on for 'exhaust valve stuck open' which ultimately made it run like ****. The code went away after I let it idle for a min or so.

Dealership checked it over and said the TPS senor needed adjusted but everything else was ok.

I changed out the throttle to a Munster Finger throttle to eliminate the senor. Haven't had a issue with it since. Ran awesome 99% of time I've owned it so far.

Started mine the other day when I got back from riding and no IDD and wouldn't idle. Got it in the shop and started looking around and right by the pipe in the front of the motor are 2 relays that where already extremely corroded. Had to wire brush them up and used some dielectric grease and taped them up. All good now but they could have done something better with the placement. Other than that 2016 Axys 163x3" has been flawless. 600 miles

How did you eliminate the switch? I'm told it won't run full rpm without it? Bypass somehow?

'16 Axys 1100 miles great sled. TPS needed to be adjusted around 250miles. Broken jackshaft from sled rolling down mountain with throttle pinned open. Pipe and clutching really wakes these sleds up.

Hmm that a good review, i own a 2015 freeride but im looking at getting an axys as a second sled. I'm hopefully going to demo one here in march!

My wifes 17 Axys had some overheating issues recently. We're taking 180 degrees in fresh pow kind of issues. I knew right away that it was the thermostat since the tunnel was cool. The pictures above show a good one and the broken one i took from her sled. There's a small circlip that popped loose causing the lower washer and spring to fall off. Small issue but something to keep in mind if you're getting hot easily.

My 16 assault rmk has been having bogging issues. At one point I could barely keep it running, and had to pretty well ghost ride it down the hill, idling. Sketchy with no throttle haha.

As soon as I got to the bottom, it was like nothing happened. Ran great for the rest of the day.

Also tends to bog down on the trail up in the 6000 rpm range. Only sometimes though.
Never on the trail ride back.

I am sure it would have been warranty if i took it in. For the small stuff its not worth the drive to the dealer, then back again to pick it up.

Definitely could have been a bit of bad fuel, might be worth swapping your fuel filter. Cleaning the clutches up never hurts, if something is sticking that could cause a bog.

Axys sleds do not have a fuel filter.
