Way too close in my family and my cousin lost her 17 year old son.
What I don't get, is with so much of this drug on the streets where is it coming from?? Doctors over prescribing, stealing from manufacturers??
Not going to beat this battle on the streets but where is originates from!!

They can synthetically create nearly any drug now days. Sorry to hear about your cousin!

So what is it.. Have no clue, what happens fill us I ..
Super high test pain killer. Make oxicotin look like Tylenol. People od because they think its oxy or same as oxy but it can be over 100X as potent.

This is just a newer type of drug available.
ACID was the 60's drug of choice and you dont even hear about it anymore.
Alcohol is still up in the number 1 area of killers.
These are personal choices that each individual takes.
It is very sad when a family member has taken that choice and past away. It causes a long term sadness to us who are still alive to decide if we could have helped or did something wrong.
Step up and be that guy!
I didnt like hearing it at first and was a denial guy!
We all have choices and can only put our mentoring skills to the level that is accepted.
I have personally been in the alcohol dump and climbed my way out of the barrel.
Please, please, take the time and push your loved ones in the direction of a good life.
Tell them you love them each and everytime you can. Life can take a turn so fast.

my sister in law just lost a relative a couple weeks ago from this nasty drug. Apparently the majority is coming from China according to the news. They also said that many users are not even aware that they are taking it as it is mixed with other types of drugs making it much more potent than they are used to…..hense the reason of overdosing. Pretty sad.

Yes the good old days, but looking back I remember there were lots of strong drugs out there but never went there because of my parents info on things...scared the sh$t out of me, and that was 30 plus years ago.
Now with all the info and proof to back it wtf are kids thinking?
People are overdosing every day so what make people think it worth a go. I feel stopping the source will do nothing, its are jobs as parents to kick our kids in the ass and fill there heads with all the info. In fact take them to the morg and show them a dead drug user....info ,info ,info the more they see and know hopefully the better chance they will have to survive.
take away the user the dealers and supply will go away.
this is so unexceptible to have these losses.

Fentanyl is basically synthetic morphine that comes in liquid or pill form. It is 100x more potent than morphine. Drug makers are cutting it into ecstasy, coke, heroin etc. Effectively meaning what you think you are taking much more potent. It causes your breathing to stop just the same as an over dose of any other opiate (oxy, morphine, ).
This naloxone is very short acting and basically if given at the right time would give you enough time to call 911. Most people are too high to figure that out. Simply a band aid.
Educate your kids, friends etc. Actions have consequences. Part of the danger of not knowing where your pills come from.
Scary thing is there is a new drug 100x more potent than fentanyl!

A new drug emerging out of China, W-18 is a synthetic opioid 10,000 more potent than morphine and 100 times more potent than fentanyl.
Again these are not medical grade medications and what they get cut or mixed with creates problems when treating an overdose.
