air box baffling on xp

i was thinkin about buyin a new air box, but i was told to just remove the baffling in my stock airbox on my 08xp800. can i do this without screwing up the altitute compensator and what not. if i remove this, is it even gona help me?

i wouldn't take the baffles out there in there to protect your engine from snow and what not.

Lots of guys are talking about air restriction on th XP's..specialy in deep snow,and have built snorkel kits...or looking at timbersled,slp kits was the talk this ast weekend....it's needed

i run the timbersled cold air intake,and have had no issues at all.opened up way more room under the console,for air movement and even looking and working on the xp,+ i dropped 3-4 pounds with the obese air box...
