Air bag pressure for 1 ton trucks(only please)

Ok yes I know there are so many variables in what pressure to run. I don't care about that. All I want to know is what truck you have (only interested in 1 tons), how heavy the trailer you are towing is (prefer only 5th wheel trailers) and what you are running for pressure in your bags when towing? I have talked to few people about what they are putting in but just curious what every one is running. Thanks.

When I had my dodge 3500 I used to measure the empty height and then add enough air pressure when loaded to be the same height.

I didn't really need them but the roads are getting pretty rough so I figured they would help.

30 foot mission trailer 6 sleds(not 100 percent sure on weight) 80 psi in the bags on a 12 ram 3500, i just measure ride height and fill my bags to get rid of the sag, also same truck two sleds on sled deck roughly same psi slightly higher. Used firestone bags havnt put the 5th wheel on this truck yet. When truck is empty around 20 psi and makes the truck ride alot nicer just took the bags off cause im trading the truck and didnt realize how much they helped the ride.

2012 Ram 3500 diesel. Tow a Denali fifth wheel with about a hitchpin weight of 1050 pounds and loaded weight of 10,600. I have air bags and leave them at 15 psi. They really don't seem to be needed as the trailer is very well balanced once I leveled it out.

Pressure needed is dependent on air bag volume.
The bigger the bag the less pressure required and better ride.
I have the biggest ones I could install and the most I have ever put in is 30 psi.

Empty 10 psi

When I first installed the bags I changed the air so it road nice and looked level.

39 ft toyhauler pin 2380 lbs

When disconnected air bags are at 40 psi. I never checked pressure loaded

Seems like most people run them at higher pressures but the odd one is low. Obviously I have to find what works for me but like I said I want to know what works for everyone else. Keep it coming

No more then 65 loaded because when you hit rough spots in the road they jump to 150+ on the gauge and worry about blowing a bag. Empty 8-10

Never needed more than 35psi in my 3500 Cummings srw, with 2 sleds on the deck and 28 ft trailer with 4 more sleds inside... With 28 ft travel trailer was about 30psi. Empty was 3psi... Anymore and it rides rough.

On my 1ton I just put them in and haven't towed my trailer yet. But with my sxs I run 70ish psi. But I got a level lift in the front and that's pushing the back up extra to lift it a bit higher then the front. About 5psi empty

You should look at timberens, no air lines to worry about and no bags blowing. They don't contact when unloaded and the ride is decent when loaded. Oh and their alot cheaper

Ford F350. Prior to putting my camper on I put 50-60 psi, not sure what the pressure is after the camper is on. I run 3" of lift and 35's so pretty much just try and find the sweet spot

Junk imo. I had them on my 1/2 ton dodge and did not like them at all! They weren't to bad empty, but then even driving down the highway and hit a big bump or frost heave it would kick the back end up in the air. Put the trailer on or a quad in the box and it rode worse then a 1 ton! Air bags are worth the extra cost!

They weren't to bad empty, but then even driving down the highway and hit a big bump or frost heave it would kick the back end up in the air. Put the trailer on or a quad in the box and it rode worse then a 1 ton! Air bags are worth the extra cost!

Some trucks they work well. Others do not. Same with bags I think. Work great for some and others not so much.
