I would have to drive there and back once to drop the sled off, and there and back again to pick it up.

That's 8 tanks for fuel for you. Plus a hotel room each way, eating for 4 days... etc etc. Actually I couldn't do it for only $1000

I checked their site and didn't see any tunnels on XP's, Can anyone confirm an XP tunnel?

i'll check again and call them Monday.

thanks.

no no your golden... i went to kelowna three times in the last year and pasting through to Langley on thursday and it aint no $800 2x over.... but whatever

besides that nice tunnel ted... mite have to push extra hard to wreak mine this weekend :)

Hey everyone really appricieating the feed back, the picks of the sleds with the tunnels look awsome, I am really intrested in Terra Alps, and and The VE, I have had CR tunnels on my CATs and all the guys I ride with had them, and we bent the chit out of all them, It could be just our riding style though, cause I do think they are a nice tunnel but I am going to try something different

Thanks again guys

He might have a POINT

You have a hard time spelling? grade 3? You don't have our stuff so how would you know. With the trash talking you do I wouldn't sell to you. The truth you know nothing about, just another smack talker, won't get you very far in this world and its not going to slow down biz were still busy. Thanks Ted

 you're one to talk Ted....GOT HOOKED ON PHONICS ... I have never seen a peep trash talk his competitors and potential customers more than you.

Here is the link to for those that are interested. If peeps don't want to drive back and forth to K-Town and are local to Beaumont pm Deano670 to have the tunnel shipped to him and to do your install

OVER!!!

I RESPECTFULLY disagree.

OVER!!!

Chill out man. Stop shouting. IMHO both are nice tunnels. Could care less about this tif you have with Ted. Really is not helpful. Draw your own opinions from the picture, I for one don't think they are alike as some do.

sure if it cost the same.(I didn't think of another tunnel untill it was too late) After the ajuster looks at the sled and it's aproved they dont come back to see that the work has been done. Just work somthing out with the guy who is fixin ur sled.

You can make whatever changes you want after it has been approved by insurance and then if there is any price difference you pay the difference and insurance don't care because it doesn't cost them anymore.. They oay to make it back to stock and you can do whatever else you want.

wouldnt that be damn near a write off lol?

same deal.. bent tunel and bulkhead, lots of plastic, bars.. etc etc. $6500 later...

Probably would have been a writeoff if I had gone to a dealer (shop rate is higher)

Problem I see is the tunnel and bulkhead on the XP come as one unit doesn't it? so I would have to buy the unit from BRP, cut the tunnel off and then buy the CR tunnel? I can't afford that right now.

Maybe I can borrow buddies 30mpg truck for a while and same some scratch.

Exactly Fabster Thanks for bringing that up,
So back in 2000' when the rmk 800 came out with cooling extrusion on the running boards we kept that concept and transfered it to our mod sleds, using the polaris extrusion for years on our polaris mods and transfered it to the other chassis we built for the other brands cat and ski doo. The other outfit you mentioned used arctic cat extrusion as we did before the polaris extrusion, it had good traction back in the day, but it was weak and bent and didn't have the hot coolant running thru the running boards to keep them clean from ice build up. The others started using the same cooling extrusion 2 years ago on the yamys.
Then in 2004 on our first rev tunnel we designed and developed the open slots with aggressive traction. We tested the size of the opening of the slot so too much snow doesn't come up thru the openings but rather most snow goes down thru them. Biggest problem with the aftermarket bolt on stuff.
The other outfit you mentioned copied that design last spring of 2008' of course I don't believe there was too much deep snow testing done either.

Thanks again for bringing that up so others know.

I never said cr doesn't build nice stuff or that hes not a good fabricater, he is a good fabricater and builds nice stuff, we have different looks at stuff as all builders do. I build stuff for the strength, function and rider positioning, I don't care if its polished.
So I think you need to quite the bashing and bsing.

as for your tif you should mention it so we all know what your talking about and the truth please.

Heres a couple pics of the first 04' rev we did, (blue) and a black rev which have polaris cooling extrusion on the outer running boards and our open traction slots on the running boards.
