Other than occasional cold start plug fouling, sled has run great for me.
I just noticed a small red puddle under her in the shop, so I went looking and found the 2nd hose in from the PTO side off its injector. With no way to know how long it's been without oil to that injector, I'm guessing this may call for a new engine. Very disappointed in the reality of missing out on ride time.

So I have and update on this if anyone is interested:

Dropped the sled off at my dealer yesterday.
They removed the engine, and confirmed it is the middle oil hose to the center shaft. After receiving the pictures, Polaris told them to completely disassemble and inspect my engine for any possible damage and send back their findings with pictures of everything. With this, Polaris will decide what parts they will send to re-build it.
It sounds like, at minimum I will be getting a new check valve, top end, and the ECU update. If they find extra damage it will unfold further from there.

While my dealer is not the largest around, this is only the second engine related warranty job on an 850 for them so far. The other one was a seized piston.
The service manager told me Polaris has been extremely responsive with any warranty claims this year, and have been rush shipping parts to get sleds back on the snow as quick as possible.
She figures I should have my sled back before next weekend. Fingers crossed.

So far I'm satisfied with both my dealers, and Polaris's response to my problems.

Service manager called at the end of the day:
-there is oil in the center cavity, along with everywhere else inside the engine.
-no play or discoloration found on any bearings.
-the suspected check valve was indeed blocked partially by excessive case sealant from the factory.
-all other check valves clear.
-pistons, and hone look good.
She sent all the results and pictures of the inspection to Polaris, and requested piston kits (not because of wear, just because it's apart and why not)

Should’ve took it on the trail and drove it till it died. That way you would’ve got it fixed. Now they will say it’s good and put the line back on, and you are left wondering if any damage was done.

Just got the call I've been waiting for, my sled will be ready to pick up tomorrow. Break-in mode all over again :p

If anyone is interested in hearing how Polaris handled my oil hose issue:

After disassembly, my dealer tested all check valves and only found the one to be plugged. The mechanic said he could not get it to pop at all. He hesitated to say that it was definitively due to excess case sealant, but there was evidence of too much sealant so this is the assumption.
They replaced the faulty check valve, rebuilt the top end, new crank seals, and all other gaskets and seals needed. He did the ECU update, and put me back on break-in mode for the 2 hours of extra oil only.
Warranty invoice was around $2300 CAD, and I'm told I will receive a survey shortly that may lead to downtime compensation.
Total downtime was 8 days, the hang up was waiting for parts. Polaris express shipped everything to my dealer in 3 business days which is pretty good for northern Alberta. Missing ride time sucks, but I feel like my situation was handled well.

I'll be taking mine in next week some time for this very job... 1000km, so far several sets of plugs, and a voltage regulator.... Starting to question the reliability of this machine... Its spent more time in the shop now than on the snow

I know of 2 Patriots that went down. Both and oiling issue.
Polaris toke care of them and added extra year warranty with $270.00 poo bucks. Pretty decent of them.

Results of damage

To much case sealant that plugged check valve which resulted in blowing line off. Polaris admitted this too.

New case sealant method along with new check valve and screen over check valve.

In our group all the Patriots performed very well. Clutching, suspension tweaking and these things rock
