A Good Cop Story

Two more sled thieves are sitting in jail this morning thanks to the Okotoks RCMP and Calgary Police Service.

About 1:30 last night my neighbor heard some noise and saw my truck, with my brand new Nytro and precious Summit sitting on the deck, blast off down the street.

Called the RCMP right away and 1/2 hour later CPS had spotted the truck thanks to the HAWCS helicopter, pulled it over and had two people in custody. The constable said they'd been busted on suspicion before, but this time they've actually got them in the vehicle with the sleds still locked to it within a time frame that leaves no doubt.

South Calgary riders, toast the cops tonight.

Nice. Instead of taking them to remand, they should drop them off at the cabin at Quartz Creek this Saturday with Sled thief signs pinned to their jackets.

we had a good one 2 weeks ago as well, we got broken into over the christmas break, guy stole 4 wide base steer tires from out shed, had him on camera back in with a uhaul and do his job, they caught him with the u haul and tires however might not be able to charge with anything more than posession as you cannot see "him" performing he theft, however u haul was rented in his name friggen legal system.

on kind of a funny note though the only way they found they were my tires is the d bag left our company name written on the side of the tire from when they were at the tire shop getting changed over. edmonton city called b stone rep they called Kal tire and so on till they found our company.

what i found wierd was that none of these detachments communicate with each other i had to request the report from stony plain be sent to edmonton as i was the one that filled it out. otherwise they could not get it wtf????? as well they had no idea of any local area tire thefts, they figured that i had not even reported it.

i realize it is a huge system and thousands of things get stolen every day but maybe they would keep an eye out or make some sort of alert for the bigger things, makes me think if your sleds/trucks etc get stolen phone a few area detachments to make them aware as one has no idea what the other is doing.

If you are dealing with different police forces such as City Police, RCMP, Stony City police, etc they may not communicate every incident. Some of the restrictions are "to protect your privacy " as well.

Good job by the cops to catch the scumbags but I think the title of your post should have been "A good neighbor story" because without him calling the cops I'm betting you would have never seen the sleds again...lol. Just sayin........

They don't give a rats azz.. they rely on tips from the public to catch most criminals.. Even if you catch a theif red handed they have more rights than the victim!

I know violence isn't the answer.

But sending 2 douche's to jail for 5yrs isn't going to do it. I mean they should still go to jail cause that's the rules everyone has to play by.

But let a tiny number, say just 100 passionate sledders talk to them. Let the loser's know all the effort that went into working for that expensive toy.

If the dink's aren't deaf or insane from being awake for a week with some passionate sledders letting them know whats up they aren't going to get it.

Then break out the stretching table from Brave Heart.

the part that sucks is that the judge will probably just through it out when they go to court, if they're meth heads the only way to stop them is with a bullet, even the cops will tell you that.
