Im guessing this is a joke Barley, Most of the BC Kootenay interior is grizzly country in the alpine. I can assure you it was a fluke encounter as nobody I ride with or know for that matter would dick around with any wildlife especially a hungry Grizz.:rolleyes:
Yes it was a joke!Now the heliskiers will want to monitor the bears when they are dropping off their 'clients' so the sledders will have to stay out!!....LOL!!!!

Griz tracks in the snow up the North Fork in Lumberton (Cranbrook) last Saturday. Pretty normal for this time of year. :yikes:

This weekend the neighbor kid seen a black bear cub on the trail coming down from Lucille. I kind of thought he was full of it but maybe not!

Two summers ago my brother and sister had my Brute and a KTM 250 out by Rig Street and saw either a grizzly bear. Brother opened up the throttle on my quad and the bear took off. They turned around and headed back to camp to clean their shorts out
