900xp blown belt and oil trying to help a buddy out!

Hey everyone, I am new to the group and this is my first post.
Buddy of mine just bought a rzr 900xp and blew the belt last night. But when it happened it spat a bunch of oil out of the cvt intake or exhaust I believe. Anyone have any ideas where the oil came from and how to fix it?
We were hoping to go riding today.

A piece of the belt may have nicked the crank seal behind the primary clutch. Pop the clutch off and have a look. Unfornatley (sp) you will have to split motor to change crank seal as it has a lip and sits in a crank case groove.

Ah okay. How much work is it to split the engine? Full tear down and removal of the engine or just pull a little bit a part?

Full tear down engine out.

Well that sucks. My buddy just bought it on Tuesday. Yesterday was his first ride...

Probably not. He bought it used.

How much oil ? Pull the belt cover off ... Easy . Take good look before you get to excited.... There should not be oil , but make sure it's not melted belt.....

Not sure, I wasn't there. But I'm heading out to where my buddy is in a bit to try and help out.
