You should run clicker 3 here on the prairies, sometimes even clicker 2. You will find with that kit, you will need clicker 4 to 5 when you go to the mountains. I ran the exact same kit in my 2008 XP 154 but went with slightly heavier (16.0g) pin weight. Ran awesome prairies on clicker 3 and mountains in clicker 5.

optimum rpm 7950, running a bit higher is alright because if you lose rpm you will fall into the peak power opposed to falling out of it. If that makes any sense

Actually you should be looking for 8250 on the tach as they typically read 100 rpm high. 8150 is optimum rpm for the 800R while 7950 is optimum for the 800H.O.

didnt you get a spec sheet for your application from dj when you got the kit, im running 16.9 in mine and its over reving big time gonna throw some more weight at it and see from there, dj numbers are mostly a base line on where to start, his nums were bang on for a buds stock sled, and if your sled is stock your looking for the 82 8250 8300 mark

I've got the same track this year and I run 15.9 grams on clicker 4 with DJ's kit in the mountains and it pulls 8200 rpm on the digital, jumps to 8300 sometimes if I get the skies in the air too much.

what about running a single dyno-port pipe with dj's kit in an 03 800ho? should it still be 7950 or 8200 rpm's:)

in the bc mountains 6600 ft

Your pin-weight is too light then..... I ran 17 grams at first and it was fine except I found I had to run the clickers at position 6 in Mcbride. I then reduced the weight to 16 grams and it ran better. More adjustment from prairie riding to mountain riding with just the turn of the clicker. Like I said earlier, clicker 3 at 2200' and then clicker 5 for mountain riding which was good to 8500'.
