They've had these out for years on the Cats and I've heard of like 2 that work good. Doo is even more sensitive to boost than the Cats I think it is a recipe for frustration.

BAH!!! after building my own turbo system for the etec utilizing stock injectors and all sensors its not that bad. anyone with some fab skills and programming ability can do it.

You've been saying that for years but clearly you've got more skills than many of the aftermarket companies then. I've bolted turbos on lots of chit over the years but fall apart at the programming ability part.

Here yea go since I am being called out ;)

Boost wise I am not sure, I don’t run any gauges but last time I checked it was at 5.5psi. Turbo is a 2871 ball bearing. This year running 50/50mix with av gas. I built it as a low low mount to keep center of gravity down. External wastegate let’s me go as low as 3psi. If I did that again I would run a water cooled version. I’m sure I mentioned somewhere along the line that when this was originally installed it was on a motor with 10000km, since then I rebuilt it last season.

I've been wanting you to share for a few years as well. What are you doing for management?

Obviously management is controlled with a interceptor style controller, the one I have can control the injectors in a NA condition. but it also had the ability to control a 0-5v sensor. so I programmed the boost sensor (0-5v) into the box and now allows me to control the injectors in normal operating conditions (no boost) and in a boost condition.

Some other things, yes the intake air sensor is being utilized not just dangling around in the engine bay. none of the sensor parameters have changed and work as they did from factory. These motors run incredible lean from the factory and it primarily due to the direct injection setup. That being said they are also incredible sensitive to fuel adjustments... to a point. In high speed operations you can run the AFR down to high 9’a without it dying or throwing a code as well you can run really lean up to 13.5. These are boost situation. That be

where the sensitivity comes in is low speed operations, or with no boost. Anything below (richer) a 14.5 and it will drastically effect the entire operation of the the sled and turbo.

it should also be noted I made this entire setup for under $2200, just think what your builder is making for profit in the kit you buy. To
