I know it’s early but I was hoping for more guys that bought these things to be excited about them and telling us how much better they are than the 800 axys and how they’ll spank the doo 850’s. Was hoping to have an excuse to jump back on a Polaris next year. Unfortunately the hype seems to be all about that damn alpha cat at this point. Gonna take a few years to trust the monorail. Cmon patriot guys, let’s hear some sweet reviews on these new steeds.

Havent had a chance to get my 850 out yet but my nephews and a couple of there buddies were out last week. They assured me that I will be happy with it. They said the 850 kicked the 2018 800 Axy's azz by a good margin. All sleds were bone stock.

Also have to take clutching into account. More power is only an advantage if it’s getting to the track. The true potential will be found once some guys get time on them.

I am still in break in mode but I can definitely say the new 850 will easily out power the 800. It is a noticeable gain. If your like me and coming off a Pro then it’s really noticeable. I’m really having to learn to ride that chassis as I’m over compensating every time and flopping it onto its side. I’ve widened it up an inch from the narrowest setting until I figure it out. So far I really am impressed.

Yes, this is confirmed as I talked to one of the owners of one of these sleds. Both went down after break in. Sounds like piston failure to me but he was convinced it was a bearing failure. Will be watching closely to see what transpires.

We have a mutual friend that said this happened on the pre production models as well Chris. Be interesting to see how this all transpires.

Nope a 2019 850 Doo pooched a motor too...

Met a guy at Frisby who was spending his first day on his Alpha after blowing a big hole in the case of his 850 G4 motor. He said that sled was a belt blower too. 20 belts last season so no it was not a 19 but I don't believe the motor has changed for this year.

This is not sounding good for us Polaris faithfull. I talked with a friend in “America” this morning, not going to mention any names on here, but he is very reliable source. He said he knows of over 20 850’s already with engines gone down. No report back yet as to problem.
May have to let the new one sit in the shop and ride the old T800.
Damn accountants, engineers come up with new engine for prototypes, then go to China for production parts.

I'm thinking a warmer thermostat is in order. 30 degrees C. in the powder is too cold, from my experience.
