Thanks for the comparison. I currently ride an 05 800, and have been thinking about going to the big boy. This gives me something to think about.

800 & 1000's

I Guess In Final Conclusion, The '06 Highmark 1000rt(162") Should Outclimb The '07 Rev 800xrs(159"), But It Is A VERY Close Comparo. Will Post Later When My Sled Is Dialed In And Updated And I Know The Other 800xrs Will Be Too. I Guess We'll Have To Get "BIGGRUMP" Out There With His '07 Highmark "x" 1000rt(151") And Finally Have The Fresh Report On Updates Too.:d . (AND BOONDOCKING, SIDEHILLING, ETC IS ALL PREFERENCE AND SIZE OF THE PERSON RIDING)

I still think it's gonna be really close for climbing. What it comes down to is "your size".
If your over the 225lb and in good shape I think the 1000 is for you.
If your under that then the 800 may be the better option...even better if you not in great shape. The 1000 requires strength to throw around but if your over that 225 then you will be losing power on the 800.

Just my thoughts and I was there.

:D :D :D

Judging Sizes

I AGREE:p , A BIGGER RIDER WILL HANDLE THE 1000RT BETTER, BUT WE DID SEE SOME LITTLE GUYS ON THE BIGGER SLEDS OUT THERE. I WOULD SUGGEST ANYONE OVER 200 OR 210 WOULD EASILY HANDLE THE BIGGER POWER.:D

I’d say the 800 feels pretty good to me, but there’s something to be said for the huge power of the 1000.

Bring back the 1000! 850s and 900s are lame. Haha
I still have my Cat 1 liter in my garage. Can't bring myself to sell it. Its a great sled, the torque on those big twins is just unreal, just keeping yourself pulled forward on that monster is tough. I dust it off a couple times a year and take it out, I still find the old cat looks sharp when she's all polished up.
