"Probably shouldn't" are you bragging. You might as well show them now!

Next weekend we have the oportunity to ride with two guy, both talented and experienced riders. One is on a RT1000 and the other is on XRS. For me this will be the test.
Will post the results after our weekend (jan 27th) in Golden.

Might get a letter from skidoo for this, remove them if you have to.

Looks very 'techno-bee'-ish, I wonder what the other changes are?

Remember when the rev came out? Everyone thought they were ugly as well, will take a bit to get used to. They got some phazer/IQ mixed in. I honestly don't mind them, better looking than the new cats.

it seems like every year the phrase 'better looking than the new cats' seems to fit. :rollinglaugh: Sorry Catmando, just couldn't resist.:beerchug:

I heard they are supposed to be direct drive. If this is true I would think that chaincases are going to become a thing of the past on all brands very soon.

I gotta admit....I really like the looks of the M Series. I saw a couple of M1000's in McBride and now I'm thinkin' that maybe..... I'm not really brand loyal at all; I've owned 3 cats, 2 doos, and 4 poos. I've got no problem jumpin' ship and replacing my Escape with an M 1000.:hmm:

800 vs 1000

Eagles Pass, Sicamous BC - Jan 27, 2007.

Well the challenge was on. We had a 05 RT 1000 159" (Ray) going against a 06 XRS 800 159" (Scott). Both riders are extreme but there is a bit of a weight difference.
Running on the same hill and new snow each run the 800 took the himark.
They switched sleds and the 800 still kept the himark.
Scott, who is lighter took summitrics 06 RT 1000 up as well and hit the mark but had a hard time getting past it.
Scott commented that the 1000 is a bit harder to throw around for him, being only about 180lbs.
I would have to say it comes down to rider skill. Both sleds seemed to hit a simular point on the hill. The 800 did win but not by much. Close, very close!!!!

:D :D :D

800 & 1000's

Yup, The 800xrs Rocks But So Does The 1000(only Feet Apart On A 2000ft Pull):d . I Think It Also Depends On The Snow Pack. I Also Have Been Reading About Clutch Set-ups. The 800 Has Been Re-clutched But My Stock 1000 Hasn't Been Touched Yet, So I'll Be Digging Into This And The Remap That Is Available For The Fuel System And The Ecm Update For The Big Kahuna, And Then We'll Have To Go At It Again. The Size Of The Rider Definately Counts, Though, And I Do Know I Couldn't Ride The 800(not Enough Power), And Just Feels Too Small. And Scotty Did Say The 1000 Threw Him Around Quite A Bit, And I Think I'm Gonna Tighten The Limiter Strap And Soften The Front Shock And Tighten Up The Rear Spring To Help With Keeping The Skiis On The Ground. It Was Too Bad Rayzorrays '05 1000rt's "juice" Bottle Wasn't Working.:( Woulda Been Good To See What That Would Doo. The M1000 Kitty Cat Was Only About 2/3 The Way Up The Hill, But Only Had A 153", And The F7 With Bigbore And "juice" Was Up About 3/4 The Way And The Mountaincat 900 Mod With 16" Track And "juice" Etc Was About 7/8 The Way Up. :d
