800r Everest Secondary Supreme Tool QRS Adjuster??

Sooo, has anyone sees used the Supreme Tool QRS secondary adjuster? Went to do a belt change and there is no way to adjust the deflection of the secondary (10mm nuts with the 3mm head Allen screws to set the depth). Did a little research and the Doo Dr. uses it on his floating secondary system. Anyone else have experience with this system?

As described, it should be straight forward. Loosen the allen head bolts, turn the large nut/round thing in or out to get your desired deflection and tighten them again.

Yup it's pretty easy, but you also need to use the belt defection tool in your brp tool kit. Never had a problem with mine.

This is interesting. So why is it so important to keep the belt height on the secondary properly adjusted? Can you tune the belt higher to increase the performance at the sake of the belt's long life?

I have had some rotten luck with the very first, original 2008 XP Secondary Clutch so it's good to learn more about them.

Belt deflection is basically belt tension.

Keeping it high in the secondary allows you to get the lowest "gear" possible. Basically tight enough (high) to the point the secondary would lurch at high with the track on a stand. You would want to be able to roll the track by hand or push it when raised at idle but not have it move on the ground.

Keeping the deflection set helps keep the belt high in the secondary but also prevents the primary having to travel further (close) to grab the belt.
