What is the best engine mod to do to 2004 800 x 159, don't want nitrous or turbo, but want to keep up to the Yamaha boost bullies, is this even possible? All the guys I ride with have new turbo nytros or apexes, I want to blow there minds with my old rev!

Sounds like big bore time. RK tek and SHR seem to be the big names. 860 or 880cc
With the old HO like we have you can't go that big of a bore with stock cylinders. Shr makes an 840 Terra Alps makes an 830 and RK Tek makes the 827. These should still run strong with a good port job. Lose a few lbs and you might not highmark the turbos, but you'll make them thing from time to time

guy in our group has an 04 ho 159, its ported with dual ring pistons has dyno port pipe setup reeds with terra alps head with some clutching, pulls a lot better than stock

Im running a tera alps 830 on av gas and it sure works good. You wont out himark a turbo but youy will make them look like fools in the technical stuff. Best idea i can give you is to save the money on a BB and buy a new etec. You can run pump gas and burn half as much in a day and be probably better off on an allround good sled. I will sell you my mod at end of march for $4500. It has a full custom terra alps chassis to go with the motor. well over 10g invested last winter but now i want a new freeride. They are way to sick.

seen a few revs with the triple in it.......my triple is 215 HP....and it feels like my turbo apex a 10 PSI.....I can sell you my crankshop triple because I think I just want to put in a stock 670 for the kid........or you can have the whole sled!

i have a 04 ho 800. ported and timing it makes 160 hp (dynoed proven) with stock single pipe and full stock intake. runs great and gives the e tec a run for there money
