NOT BASHING HERE AT ALL.. looks good

but one thing i see as a problem.. as an old service manager from a BRP shop.

what has been done to make that crank stronger. it wasnt changed in the 2011 e-tec ( no it wasnt right from brp from who ever wants to argue that)

with it being a two peice crank not welded. will it last longer then a month or a 3min hard pull? no one wants to spend 5500$ on a turbo kit.. then a month later find out there is no warranty anymore on that new sled they have. and its a 3500$ bill for a new short block.. ( cheaper to replace then just a crank. unless u do your own labor)

or what 1800$ for a crank or 2100 something like that..

just some thought behind that.. seen lots of crank issues witht he old motor.

but who knows.. hopefully it works.. would be nice to see.. i wont go back to 2storke. but loved the e-tec when i rode it for a few weekend last spring

no lag, and yes it is a 154" no a chute machine. throttle response is like a stock sled, crank issues????????? Had 3 xp's myself now, no issues... Builded about 30 custom xp's (860 big bores, carb turbos)with no issues. If a guy wants a sled that starts on the first pull everytime, even after rolling down the mtn, or who would like to fill at the pump, etec turbo is the machine.

I think that every video that is made to show the performance of any turbo kit or big bore mod should be a side by side comparison with a similar stock machine. on a hill, straight up until they dig in....on the flats, side by side powder drags. is that too much to ask?

my main concern is if you do take a piston out ( these things happen ) even on a stock machine...whats one of those fancy etec injectors worth?

its not just a cylinder head i have to replace now..

Video was to show that a etec can be Turboed, and run with out issues.

all that video shows is a freeride tearing it up. blair witch style shaky video by a camera man who doesn't know how to run the zoom, no sound, no shot of the engine or it's components....if you want to pimp out your work, take a tripod and show a little more in depth on the sled as well as a side by side comparison with a stock freeride. leave the music out, I want to hear it screaming....

just curious here,

what do you gain with all the added hp if you can already turn your track, with 160hp and some lower gearing? higher track speed?

not knocking the turbo or anything, just wondering what the real benefit is unless your runnin a longer/ bigger lug track?

i guess more hp is always better, but $5300 sure seems like alot of cash :)

this is just me sparking some more debate here

would be nice to see a side by side comparrison.:)

more power means more track speed, and you can go with a bigger track...
